On 28 June 2024, pursuant to Section 59 of the Health Act 2007 (as amended), an order was made by Castlerea District Court cancelling the registration of Aperee Living Ballinasloe, Bridge Street, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway as a designated centre under Part 8 of the Health Act 2007.  

In the interests of the health, safety and quality of life of the residents, and in accordance with Section 64 of the 2007, the Health Service Executive (HSE) was directed to take charge of the nursing home from 10.00am on Saturday 29 June 2024.
