HIQA carried out a targeted assurance review of the governance arrangements at national Health Service Executive (HSE), Saolta University Health Care Group and Letterkenny University Hospital levels to assure and ensure the quality of gynaecology services at the hospital. This review examined the level of progress made to improve gynaecology services and the effectiveness and sustainability of changes introduced with the intention of improving and strengthening the governance and oversight arrangements to ensure the delivery of high-quality gynaecology services at Letterkenny University Hospital.
